6 figures with decent investing/saving can have you retire early as well. Some have it better, some dont, but whats nice in finance is you can live your life without killing yourself and still make 6 figures after some years if you are competent. Lots of ways to make money but money will always require sacrifice or intense commitment irrespective of field. IB you sell your soul and life, Quant you have to be incredibly intelligent driven and love math and coding, people who work their way into CFO tend to be really good at selling themselves or hit the jackpot on a small company who has a successful IPO.
